Here is the very pretty HSBC Tower at night. Apologies for the eccentric angle. We thought it was one of the most striking buildings, both architecturally and visually. Apparantly the Bank of China Tower, at 70 stories, had to be taller than the HSBC building for "face" reasons, symbolising the new order looking down on the exiting colonial power.
