Never have we been, in all our travels, in such an incense filled space. These coils are all burning, and worshippers light bunches of sticks which are also placed before the altars. Buddhist shrines don't allow incense to be burned inside. There was something quite serene about the atmosphere despite the relaxed and casual demenour of everyone inside. We felt quite welcome to be there.
