We flew
over
Greenland
as in 2001. A change of planes at Atlanta was fraught, due to huge
delays
at immigration so our bags arrived on the next flight. Having collected
the car navigating our way to Motel
6 in Denver
in the dark was interesting as we hadn't got the hang of the motorway
signs!
This is one of the nearest cheap Motels to the airport. Just down the
road
is a fantastic pancake house diner where we had breakfast. Getting out
of Denver next morning was equally interesting so we had an unplanned
trip
into the city centre! Once on IS 70, though, it was plain sailing to Glenwood
Springs for a picnic lunch stop and dip in water of 100 degrees F.
Back on IS 70 we progressed to Grand Junction and soon after left the
motorway
and followed the river as it left the plateau to drive down the
spectacular
Colorado Canyon into
Moab.
