The
lovely Tirtagangga Water Palace was built in 1946 by the last
Raja
of Karangasem. Though it was damaged when Mount Agung
erupted in
1963, much has been restored. We swam in the large pool in the
foreground - a public swimming pool. As you can see, it was
hardly bursting with visitors. We
stopped here on our way from Amed to Lake Batur.
