The lovely Tirtagangga Water Palace was built in 1946 by the last Raja of  Karangasem. Though it was damaged when Mount Agung erupted in 1963, much has been restored. We swam in the large pool in the foreground - a public swimming pool. As you can see, it was hardly bursting with visitors. We stopped here on our way from Amed to Lake Batur.
