Walking
to the
main entrance of Agra's Red Fort after lunch at the hottest time of
day! Quite a lot of beggars and hawkers around here. Akbar the Great
began it in 1565, and it was upgraded to a Palace by Shajahan. Most is
exceptionally well preserved. The hard red sandstone is amazingly
durable. Pity Worcester Cathedral wasn't built out of this stuff.
