More exquisite pietra dura work, this time at Shahjahan's throne room, the Diwan-i-Am, or Hall of Public Audience. The alcove at the back housed the original Peacock throne, taken to Delhi's Red Fort by Shahjahan
and then stolen by Nadir Shah in 1739 when it went to Tehran.
