The
breakfast
stop as we started to climb into the first Himalaya range - usually
known as the foothills but rising to 10,000 feet in places. The plan
was to have breakfast in the first town stop, but a general strike put
paid to that idea. While we all thought this place, which served up
omelets and toast, was absolutely fine, Sher told us it could not be a
regular stop-off as it didn't have proper "facilities". The green and
white People Carriers were now our transport till Rishikesh.
